Often, this has less to do with the answers given and more to do with the questions asked.<\/p>\n<p>The way we frame our questions can either <strong>expand possibilities or reinforce limitations<\/strong>. A simple shift in how we inquire can lead to new insights, stronger connections, and more meaningful dialogue.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The Power of Questions<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>How does it feel when you ask a question and someone genuinely says; \u201c<em>That\u2019s a great question<\/em>\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>A question is more than a request for information &#8211; it\u2019s a tool for shaping thought and perspective.<\/p>\n<p>For example, consider the difference between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Why is this so difficult?<\/em> <em>What\u2019s one small step we could take to make progress?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Who made the mistake?<\/em> <em>What can we learn from this experience?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Is there even a solution?<\/em> <em>What haven\u2019t we tried yet?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One approach focuses on blame, frustration, or limitation. The other invites growth, curiosity, and action. By shifting the way we ask questions, we shift the nature of our conversations &#8211; and, in turn, the outcomes we create.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>How to Ask Better Questions<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: var(--font-base, 'IBM Plex Sans', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', 'Roboto', 'Oxygen', 'Ubuntu', 'Cantarell', 'Fira Sans', 'Droid Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif); font-size: 20px;\">1. Shift from Closed to Expansive Questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed questions (those that can be answered with \u201cyes\u201d or \u201cno\u201d) limit exploration. Instead, try open-ended questions that encourage deeper thinking.<\/p>\n<p>The reality is that, even when we know this, we can forget and still ask closed questions! So, we need to consciously <em>choose<\/em> open and expansive questions.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples of choosing smarter questions:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>X<\/strong> <\/span><em>Do you like this idea?<\/em> ? <span style=\"color: #14de46;\"><strong>?<\/strong><\/span><em> Which aspects of this idea resonate with you?<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>X<\/strong><\/span> <em>Do you agree?<\/em> ? <span style=\"color: #14de46;\"><strong>? <\/strong><\/span><em>What\u2019s your perspective on this?<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>X<\/strong><\/span> <em>Is this the best way<\/em> ? <span style=\"color: #14de46;\"><strong>?<\/strong><\/span> <em>What alternatives might be worth considering?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: var(--font-base, 'IBM Plex Sans', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', 'Roboto', 'Oxygen', 'Ubuntu', 'Cantarell', 'Fira Sans', 'Droid Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif);\">2.
